Wedding Expo and Promotion

Last weekend Cathy Ventling and I set up a booth at the Wedding Expo held at Two Rivers Convention Center.  There was a great turnout and we met some really amazing brides, couples, and friends and relatives of the bride and groom!   I love talking to the clients and hearing about their wedding plans.   One insightful bride said something that really stuck with me.  She said that nobody really remembers the food that was at the wedding, or what they drank or how the flowers looked.  But having photos to remember the day and the people is the most important thing.  She told us the main part of her budget was for photos and the rest would come second.  I love that!    When I think back to times in my life that I remember most vividly, times spent with people like my grandparents and mother (who are all now gone), some of the most treasured things I have to remind me of them are photos.   Photos of us laughing, fishing, opening Christmas presents...

My grandfather always hid from the camera and I have very few pictures of him.   I regret this and wish that I had more photos of all of them.   Professional photos rather than old grainy Polaroids would also be preferable but I will take what I can get!

Definitely something to remember for events, for all of us.

Cathy and I have decided to do a promotion for February.   Anyone that books with us this month gets 15% off the wedding session pricing.  This discount is significant, and ranges from $100 to $600 depending on the package you choose.   So, if you know the date, we can put you on the calendar now, and you will be able to buy those bon bons (or beer) along with getting great photos.   :)
